Child Development Center Program Director - Preschool Age
Full time, 40 hours per week, hourly
To ensure the health, safety, and quality of education for all children in Timberlake's Child Development Center. To work with the Lead Director and other program directors to ensure successful operational management, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long-term planning for the success of The Child Development Center at Timberlake. Must be of Christian faith with a heart for the vision of ministry.

Essential Functions:
Arrive on time, prepared for work.

Establish and maintain a positive rapport with parents, staff, and church members
Actively assume responsibility for all aspects of the program.
Coordinate with the Executive Director to establish curriculum and provide training.
Create lesson plan format and provide teachers with resources/tools for success.
Ensure assessment of students and related feedback to parents.
Model appropriate classroom management.
Assist staff with behavior modification.
Assess staff training needs and ensures related training. Ensure appraisal of staff performance annually.
Create an environment where staff can ask questions and share concerns.
Coordinate with the Lead Director to regularly review and implement updated policies and procedures.
Strategically position workspace and self to be visible by parents, staff, and church members
Promptly return phone calls.
Proactively resolve conflicts and concerns of parents, staff, and church members appropriately.
Coordinate special events throughout the year that create special memories for the staff; students. and families.
Coordinate with Executive Director regarding the recruitment, hiring, onboarding process for new staff and personnel changes working with the Business Manager to ensure paperwork is properly maintained.
Ensure ongoing observation of staff' and related feedback.
Participate in disciplinary procedures for staff.
Actively seek a minimum of 16 hours of related training annually.
Ensure First Aid and CPR training and MAT training for staff as needed.
Coordinate with Billing and Collections Manager to ensure timely tuition payments by parents.
Ensure: that supervision requirements and staff ratios are met or exceeded at all times.
Review staff scheduling regularly to avoid excessive labor costs.
Partnership with church leaders, ensure that rooms, building spaces reservations, furniture, and equipment are well maintained.
Ensure staff consistency for children and parents.
Establish short and long-term goals to promote the success of the program.
Ensure optimal enrollment to maximize tuition income.
Maintain proper student enrollment documents.
Ensure information is given to classroom staff: schedules, pictures, and allergy information.
Coordinate with other program directors and the Executive Director to establish a calendar that maximizes our services to families.
Professionally represent Timberlake Church programs to the community, parents, and other child care centers.
Ensure an effective line of communication with parents and families.
Effectively communicate plans, activities, goals, and changes across all programs to staff.
Provide tours to prospective families
Work as a member of a team with other program directors.
Communicate program concerns with immediate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Graduate degree in a child-related field+ 6 months of programmatic experience OR
Endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field + 1 year of programmatic experience, OR
48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit of which 12 semester hours or 11 quarter hours are in child-related subjects + I year programmatic experience OR
Minimum 2-year programmatic experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity and at least one of the following:
3 years programmatic experience including 1 year in a staff supervisory capacity and 'fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent. Programmatic experience shall be obtained in a child day center that offers a staff training program, documented minimum of 120 hours training during the 3-year period
CPR/First Aid and MAT Trained, preferred
