Daycare Floater

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Daycare Floater to join our team! As a Daycare Floater, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. 

Duties

• Provide attentive supervision and care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Assist lead teachers with daily activities, including playtime, educational exercises, meal times, and nap schedules.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
• Adapt quickly to changing classroom needs by stepping into various roles as required to support staff and children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs, progress, and daily activities.
• Assist with basic first aid or emergency procedures when necessary to ensure children's well-being.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
• Proficiency in classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to perform infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities with patience and enthusiasm.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and certifications preferred but not required; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.

Nice To Haves

Schedule:

• Monday and Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm
• Ability to take on extra hours if desired when coverage is needed
