The Lead Teacher will nurture the growth while preparing them for elementary school by developing their vocabulary, social skills, and behavior in a healthy, safe, and quality Christian environment. The Lead Teacher must ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Lead Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom in accordance with well-established guidelines and the goals of the center.
• Structures a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom
• Teaches students to follow rules and procedures in the classroom and school.
• Monitors students’ progress throughout the year and evaluates preparedness for advancing to the next class.
• Extensive knowledge of early childhood development principles and developmentally appropriate educational practices.
• Enthusiastic personality that will engage children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with teachers, support staff, parents, and students in a positive and constructive way.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum.

• Minimum of 2 years childcare experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a teacher or a teacher’s assistant preferred.
