The School Support plays an essential role in supporting both the Teacher and Director in creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive. With a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset, the School Support helps bring the classroom to life by assisting with daily activities and contributing to a high-quality educational experience.


By communicating effectively and working collaboratively with staff, the School Support helps implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that reflect each child’s unique interests and needs. They build meaningful connections with children and families, fostering trust and a sense of community. Through thoughtful observation and documentation, the School Support tracks children’s growth and shares important insights with teachers and parents. With enthusiasm, care, and professionalism, they help create a joyful learning environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and excited to explore.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to school.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional childcare experience.
  • High energy.
  • Positive Energy
  • Flexible (willing to work in different classrooms)
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening.
