Youth Program Director

Summary

The Youth Program Director, reporting to the Executive Director, is in charge of running the organization's after-school and summer camp programs. This includes everything from implementing policies and planning activities to managing the overall operations. They also perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Duties

1. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Youth Program Director is responsible for the administration and direction of the out of school time program and summer camp departments. The director is responsible for the implementation of all policies, planning, developing, and managing of the program.
2. Follows OCFS Regulations at all times and complies with all local and state policies.
3. Provides OCFS with all appropriate and requested materials.
4. Maintains a safe and efficient environment at all times.
5. Trains and supervises school-age counselors.
6. Assures all staff are in compliance and completing required trainings every year.
7. Serves as a member of the total team in the operation of The Belle Center.
8. Carries out other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

1. Must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree is preferred) in Child Development, Elementary Education, Administration, or a related field with demonstrated work experience. OR
2. Must have an Associate's Degree in Child Development or Elementary Education with at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience. OR
3. Must have a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential or School Age Child Care Credential with at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience.
4. All applicants must possess current CPR/First Aid Certification.
