Summary

Fun, energetic summer camp counselor desired for indoor/outdoor program beginning after Memorial Day. Skills in art, music, coding, and technology, or health-related sciences would be a plus! Field trips add to the weekly activities on campus. Full or part-time positions available at a great campus with classrooms, a gym, outdoor sports field, library, and more. Part-time and full-time opportunities in the fall for our afterschool enrichment program are also available for year-round employment.


Duties

Summer Camp Leader – Duties & Responsibilities

🌟 Spiritual Leadership & Culture

  • Model Christ-like behavior in attitude, speech, and actions
  • Lead daily devotionals, prayer time, or Bible-based activities
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered environment
  • Reinforce the school’s Christian values in all interactions

👧👦 Student Supervision & Engagement

  • Supervise campers at all times to ensure safety and well-being
  • Build positive relationships with students and serve as a role model
  • Lead and actively participate in games, crafts, sports, and group activities
  • Manage behavior using positive discipline aligned with school values

🎨 Activity Planning & Execution

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging daily activities
  • Organize themed weeks, special events, and group challenges
  • Prepare materials and ensure activities run smoothly and on schedule
  • Adapt plans as needed based on weather, group size, or camper needs

🛡️ Safety & Operations

  • Enforce all safety rules, procedures, and emergency protocols
  • Monitor attendance, transitions, and pick-up/drop-off procedures
  • Respond appropriately to minor injuries, conflicts, or concerns
  • Maintain clean, organized activity spaces and equipment

🤝 Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other camp staff and leadership
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and daily camp operations
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding needs or issues
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and evaluations

📣 Parent Communication

  • Greet parents and guardians in a friendly, professional manner
  • Provide general updates on camper experiences when appropriate
  • Communicate any concerns or incidents to camp leadership promptly

🎯 Additional Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive ambassador of the school’s mission and programs
  • Support special events, field trips, or off-site activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by camp director or school leadership 

Requirements

Prior experience leading students in programs like art, sports, music, or academics. A fun personality and ability to interact well with campers and their parents.

Nice To Haves

Google docs experience, lesson planning, research for topics of interest for the age group that you are assigned to and so much more.

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division

The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
