Maui Preparatory Academy is seeking a Art Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. This position provides an exciting opportunity to inspire and instruct students in grades K-12 in various forms of visual arts.

Duties

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Develop and implement an engaging and age-appropriate art curriculum for students in grades K-12.
• Foster creativity and self-expression through a variety of artistic mediums.
• Manage art supplies and maintain a clean and organized art room.
• Collaborate with other lower school teachers to integrate art into the curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience teaching art to elementary-aged students.
• Strong knowledge of various art mediums and techniques.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for art education and a commitment to student success.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

$55,000 base salary per pay scale depending on experience and degrees.

Benefits package available for full-time employees in accordance with school policy.
