Infant Assistant Teacher

Summary

We are looking to find a teacher that is caring, nurturing, has a love of working with children.

This is a part-time position. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Duties

• Implements curriculum, develops lesson plans, and provides a developmentally appropriate program for children.
• Instructs children in groups or individually.
• Conducts ongoing observations, data collection, and assessment.
• Utilizes a relationship-based approach in working with children, families, and staff.
• Collaborates with child care assistants to carry out the instructional program.
• Maintains an optimum indoor and outdoor learning environment in order to maximize student learning.
• Supervises children at all times.
• Prepares a variety of reports and maintains accurate and current records.
• Maintain safe and clean classroom:
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Bright from the Start rules and regulations and Quality Rated Standards
• Knowledge of Developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers
• Ability to Work effectively in a multi-ethnic community Experience/Education/Certification:
• Possession of a valid Child Development Teacher Permit Desirable:
• Previous successful teaching experience with infants and toddlers.
