Summary
We are looking to find a teacher that is caring, nurturing, has a love of working with children.
This is a part-time position. Candidates must be able to work Monday through Friday 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Duties
- Implements curriculum, develops lesson plans, and provides a developmentally appropriate program for children.
- Instructs children in groups or individually.
- Conducts ongoing observations, data collection, and assessment.
- Utilizes a relationship-based approach in working with children, families, and staff.
- Collaborates with child care assistants to carry out the instructional program.
- Maintains an optimum indoor and outdoor learning environment in order to maximize student learning.
- Supervises children at all times.
- Prepares a variety of reports and maintains accurate and current records.
- Maintain safe and clean classroom:
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Bright from the Start rules and regulations and Quality Rated Standards
- Knowledge of Developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers
- Ability to Work effectively in a multi-ethnic community Experience/Education/Certification:
- Possession of a valid Child Development Teacher Permit Desirable:
- Previous successful teaching experience with infants and toddlers.
