The World of Imaginations is looking for reliable teachers who love working with children and are excited to build relationships with the children and families in their class. We are an early education center located on the Somers line in Enfield, CT.

We are currently looking for people full-time (40 hours/week). After 90 days accrued PTO is usable and staff have optional enrollment in vision, dental and life insurance as well as enrollment in My CT Savings. Pay range is $17.50-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Duties

• Work with children ages 1-3 years old.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents via our app, in person and over the phone as needed.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Use modeling to guide children.

Requirements

• Childcare experience
• Drive to continue education
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and families) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to get certified.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening..
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• CDA or other credentials in ECE or related field.
• First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certifications
