Preschool teacher (3 year olds)

Summary

Overview

We are hiring 1 teacher to start mid May at our center teaching 3 year old preschool. Our preschool program is full day, has Christian curriculum, and is play-based. Our facility is brand new, with tons natural light, a great culture of teamwork, and amazing kids/families. We value outdoor time - even our smallest babies go outside twice a day for walks. We think this improves mental health for our kiddos and our staff! The position is between 8:00 - 4:00PM Monday - Friday. Be sure to check out our website to see our philosophy before applying. This position starts at $16.50 (Associates of Teaching) to $19.25 (Bachelor's in teaching). Our culture at work is amazing - everyone is "all in" and loves to come to work. Duties

• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
• Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
• Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.

Requirements

• CDA, Associates, or Bachelor's in ECE or Education
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Before employment begins:

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification paid by employee
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Complete safe sleep training online (free)

Physical Requirements:

• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.

About Us

Nurtured Growth Childcare Center is a new center opening in summer of 2025 in Osage Beach, MO. We will provide a play-based program with focus on health and well-being of children through physical movement, nutrition, and time spent outdoors as much as possible. This center will be located 1 block away from the local hospital. We will be offing enrichment classes through out the day for the children in the community. On Friday nights, we will be offering date night care from 5-9pm for the community. On Saturdays, we will be offering enrichment classes and Mom tribe groups.
