The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden is seeking a qualified Lead Infant & Toddler Teacher to guide and manage our Infant & Toddler classroom (ages 6 weeks–2.8 years old). This position is approximately 30–35 hours per week and will play a key role in creating a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners.
The Lead Teacher will create and implement activities that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while ensuring a safe and responsive classroom environment.

The preschool program at the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden provides care for children ages 3–5 years old and promotes positive relationships among all children and adults. Our curriculum is consistent with its goals for children and promotes development and learning in the following areas: social, physical, emotional, cognitive and language. The program uses culturally, developmentally, and linguistically appropriate effective teaching approaches. Systematic, informal and formal assessments provide feedback on each child’s learning and development. We employ and support a teaching staff with the educational qualifications, professional commitment and knowledge necessary to promote children’s learning and development. We establish and maintain collaborative relationships with each child’s family to foster their development in all settings. The program has a healthful and safe environment that provides appropriate and well-maintained outdoor and indoor physical activities.
