Summary
At First Adventures Academy, we’re not just a childcare center—we’re a family. As a proudly family-owned and operated program, we believe in showing up for each other, supporting one another, and creating a workplace where you feel valued, seen, and appreciated every single day.
We are hands-on, highly involved, and deeply committed to both our team and the children we serve. Our leadership doesn’t sit in an office—we are in the classrooms, building relationships, offering support, and celebrating wins right alongside you.
As a Teacher, you’ll play a powerful role in shaping young minds and creating a classroom where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. You’ll lead your classroom with purpose—planning engaging activities, guiding your team, and building strong, trusting relationships with families.
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, passion, and heart into everything they do—someone who thrives in a team environment, communicates confidently, and truly loves working with children.
At First Adventures Academy, you won’t feel like “just a teacher.” You’ll be part of something bigger—a team that feels like home, a leadership team that has your back, and a center that is fully invested in your success.
If you’re ready to be part of a supportive, high-energy, family-driven culture where you can grow, lead, and make a real impact—we want to meet you.
Duties
What You’ll Do (aka where the magic happens ✨):
- Bring learning to life by creating fun, engaging activities rooted in early childhood best practices and real developmental growth.
- Lead your classroom with confidence and positivity—modeling excellence, supporting your team, and building a strong, successful classroom culture.
- Plan exciting, age-appropriate experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Build meaningful relationships with families through daily conversations, progress updates, and conferences—you’re a trusted partner in their child’s journey.
- Keep your classroom running smoothly by following all licensing standards and center policies with professionalism and care.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children feel secure, supported, and ready to learn every day.
- Guide and support assistant teachers and volunteers, helping them grow while ensuring your classroom runs as a strong, unified team.
- Stay organized and on top of important documentation, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Continue growing as a professional through ongoing learning, training, and development—because we believe great teachers never stop evolving.
- At First Adventures Academy, these aren’t just “duties”—this is your opportunity to make an impact, lead with purpose, and be part of something truly special.

- A solid understanding of child development—you meet children where they are and help them grow with intention and care.

- Strong awareness and attention to your surroundings, including the ability to supervise children closely and safely at all times.
- A positive, go-with-the-flow attitude—you bring good energy even on busy days.
- A love for teamwork—you enjoy collaborating, supporting others, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
- Leadership, organization, and people skills that help you confidently guide a classroom and contribute to a strong, positive team environment.
