School Age Summer Assistant

Summary

Sunshine Preschool & Childcare is seeking a full-time School Age Assistant Teacher for the upcoming 2026 summer. Candidates should be fun, energetic, be willing to take continuing education trainings/classes, engage in meaningful play with children, work well in a team environment, be willing to work with our current Lead School Age Teacher on the planning and implementation of activity plans and have good attendance. Pay is based on your OCCRRA career pathway level, education, and experience.

Duties

• Assist students with daily activities.

• Assist the classroom lead teacher to fulfill any additional duties that need to be performed to facilitate the effective operation of the total program.

• Maintain a clean and welcoming classroom environment

• Cleaning tasks include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the classroom, as well as hallways and bathrooms at closing time.

• Provide snack and lunch for children daily, ensuring all food allergies are considered

Requirements

• Pass a background check
• High School Diploma
