Duties

Provide a Safe & Nurturing Environment – Ensure the well-being of infants by maintaining a clean, safe, and loving atmosphere.

Supervise & Care for Infants – Attend to the needs of up to five babies, including feeding, diapering, and soothing.

Create a Language-Rich Environment – Engage in conversations, sing songs, and read to infants to promote early language development.

Encourage Developmental Growth – Implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Maintain Cleanliness & Hygiene – Sanitize toys, cribs, and play areas daily; follow all health and safety guidelines.

Follow Feeding & Sleep Schedules – Ensure infants are fed, burped, and put down for naps according to their individual schedules.

Communicate with Families – Provide updates on feeding, diapering, sleeping, and developmental milestones through daily reports.

Work as a Team – Collaborate with fellow caregivers and staff to create a supportive and positive work environment.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older

High school diploma or GED

Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain one)

Current TB test

CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Reliable transportation

Experience caring for infants in a professional or personal setting (preferred)

Strong multitasking skills – Ability to care for multiple infants at once

A nurturing, patient, and positive attitude

Ability to create a language-rich and stimulating environment

Commitment to health, safety, and cleanliness standards

Willingness to work as part of a team and support Robin’s Place’s mission

Nice To Haves

Child Development Associate (CDA) or Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework

Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting

Knowledge of infant milestones and developmentally appropriate practices

Familiarity with DES childcare requirements and regulations

Training in Conscious Discipline or other positive behavior guidance techniques

Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills

Strong organizational skills to maintain records and schedules

Experience with baby sign language or other early communication techniques

A passion for creating a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment

While these are not required, they would be a great bonus in helping us provide the best care for our infants and families!

We are a family owned and operated childcare provider, which means each family receives individualized and personalized attention from the very start. We go above and beyond to try and meet the unique needs of the families we serve. We offer an infant room, pre-primary room, primary room, pre-k and school-aged program. We welcome all families including those with special needs children and DES families.
