Summer Camp Leader

Summary

The Summer Camp Leader is responsible for supervising and engaging children ages 5 and up in a safe, fun, and educational environment. This role includes planning and leading daily activities that promote creativity, teamwork, leadership, and social development. The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, and passionate about working with children.

Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, arts and crafts, STEM projects, outdoor play, and team-building activities
• Support academic enrichment through reading, tutoring, and educational games when needed
• Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and leadership among campers
• Assist with daily schedules, transitions, and group management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and program leadership
• Assist with special events, field trips, and in-house activities
• Follow all safety guidelines and program policies

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 5 and older preferred
• High school diploma or currently enrolled in college (education or childcare field preferred)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Positive attitude, creativity, and patience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tutoring or homework help
• Knowledge of STEAM activities, sports, or arts programming
• Classroom or childcare experience
• Reliable Transportation
