Friends Center is an early childhood education center providing year-round, full-time care for children ages 3 months to 5 years. Position Summary: The Flint Street Program Receptionist/Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the Flint Street Operations and Program. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting families, answering phones, filing, ordering, ensuring all documents are current and up to date, and consistently checking emails and responding accordingly in a timely manner, covering classrooms and breaks as needed. Must be flexible to cover the needs of the center on a day-to-day basis and provide excellent customer service to our families and students. The Program Receptionist/Office Assistant participates fully in the culture and community life of Friends Center.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer and School Director
Classification: FTE - Exempt
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours, some evenings, and occasional weekend hours
Salary Range: $35K - $40K
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
● High School Diploma or GED, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
● Experience working in a human service environment is preferred
● Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
● Interest in the mission and vision of Friends Center, including Quaker values
● Ability to interact warmly with young children and families
● Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and creative problem solver
● Attention to detail
● Friendly and professional
● Good time management skills
● Fluency or conversational Spanish is a plus
