A childcare teacher supports young children’s safety, learning, and social-emotional development by planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, building positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
Supervise and ensure children’s safety and well‑being at all times.
Foster social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behavior through guidance and modeling.
Maintain health, hygiene, and safety standards (diapering, feeding, first aid, sanitation, incident reports).
Manage classroom routines, transitions, and materials; organize learning spaces.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals (specialists, early intervention) when needed.
Must be 18 years old
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Basic first aid/CPR and safe sleep knowledge (depending on age group).
Patience, empathy, and clear, calm communication.
Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive, and engaging learning experiences.
