MUST LOVE FUN & CHILDREN! Every summer Mary Johnson Children’s Center hires full-time summer staff to work at our programs to cover staff vacations. Work with a team on classroom management, indoor and outdoor play, and activities. Applicants must possess the ability to actively engage and support children in a variety of activities. Our classrooms are busy and require energy, a positive attitude, and a sense of adventure. Approximately late June to August 18, 2025, and welcome to start sooner.
Mary Johnson Children's Center Programs support the importance of learning through play; programs evolve depending on the interests of children, teachers, and families. We believe that all families are the experts on their children and want what is best for them. We value experience in early childhood education along with a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of young children, energy, and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities:
Assisting classroom teachers with children aged 10 months to 5 years
Interacting with children during play inside and outside
Keeping children safe and engaging them in curiosity about the world
Modeling appropriate and respectful behavior
Updating families on their child’s day
Experience with children is required. Enjoyment of and interest in working with young children. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to supervise children in teacher’s absence. Our classrooms are busy and require both energy and a positive attitude.
