Assistant Teacher

Summary

We are a full-day preschool in Arlington, Virginia, where learning is an adventure. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, we embrace Learning through Play to nurture the whole child—physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children as they inquire about the world and explore their curiosities from their perspective. The ideal candidate has an excitement for learning and is patient, calm, and flexible.

Applicants must be US citizens and pass a government background check.

Duties

• To assist the teacher when needed with watching children.
• To maintain good communication with parents and to make each parent feel at ease at the preschool.
• To promote positive behavior and good social skills with the children by applying consistent techniques in accordance with licensing standards.
• To interact with the children and encourage them in their activities during the day.
• To develop a cooperative and supportive attitude within the school.

• Must pass a Federal Government background check and a health screening
