Summary
The Warehouse Receiving Specialist is primarily responsible for the efficient and accurate physical flow of incoming inventory. This role ensures that all products received are safely unloaded, verified, entered into the system, and correctly placed in their designated storage locations, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role will be a keyholder responsible for closing the warehouse at the end of the day.
Reports to Warehouse Manager and is a full-time, 40/hour week position
Duties
Unloading Inventory with the receiving team
- Safely and efficiently unload inbound shipments using manual and mechanical equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, as certified).
- Count, inspect, and verify the physical condition of incoming product against the shipping manifest for damage or discrepancies.
- Separate, sort, and stage incoming product based on internal protocols.
- Receive product through the computer system.
Stocking Inventory
- Transport received product from the staging area to the correct location with the receiving team.
- Use a scanner to accurately identify the location of all stocked inventory.
- Ensure product is stocked neatly, safely, and according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or other established inventory rotation methods.
Secondary/Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with Other Roles: When the primary tasks are complete or during periods of reduced inbound volume, the Specialist is expected to actively assist the Warehouse Shipping team. This includes, but is not limited to, helping with pulling order tickets.
Requirements
- Positive attitude

- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds without assistance
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and/or pull in repetitive motions
- Ability to tolerate low and high temperature work environment
- Clean driving record
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience
- Prior experience with receiving is a plus
