Summary

SUMMER is almost upon us and we are looking to hire a few more staff members for our Camp Lotta-Fun program. This is a great opportunity for college students, preferably in the field of education, to gain valuable classroom experience with team lesson planning, collaborating with co-teachers, working with children, and learning classroom management skills. Duties

  • Interact with children on a one on one and group basis
  • Set-up and maintain a clean, welcoming and inviting classroom
  • Assist the lead teacher in planning developmentally appropriate activities
  • Assist the lead teacher in developing and prepping weekly lesson plans that include art, science, math, literacy, music and movement, and outdoor activities
  • Work as a teaching team with the lead teacher and float teachers, directing as needed
  • Engage with children in small and large group activities and encourage independent skills
  • Provide comfort, encouragement and support to all children
  • Post daily adventures on our Playground App for parents/guardians
  • Attend field trips to various activities
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with guardians and co-workers

Requirements

Requirements

  • Depending on position: Associates Degree, college coursework in the field of education
  • At least 18 years of age
  • An understanding of child development
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
  • Class management skills
  • Ability to implement school resources to benefit children's development
  • Ability to be flexible and able to adjust program plan to best benefit children
  • Ability to communicate with other staff, parents, and children in a positive manner
  • Ability to relate to children with joy, compassion, sensitivity and encouragement
  • Evidence of emotional maturity and stability
  • Evidence of good judgement
  • Physical stamina to perform duties
  • Must clear full background check & fingerprinting required by the State of WI

Benefits

Summer only -

  • Full time employees (32+ hrs/wk) receive holiday pay
  • Direct Deposit payroll every two weeks
  • Part-time and full-time work options

No nights or weekends - Open Monday-Friday 6:30am - 5:30pm
