Full Time Infant Room Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join our faith-based child care center! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children along with co-teachers in a two year old classroom.

Living Christ Preschool is a ministry of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ (LCMS). We provide high quality care for children ages 6 weeks-5 years old while nurturing each child's faith in Jesus.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Work with co-teachers to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate care.
• Instruct children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Present Bible stories to children using our curriculum.
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Candidates should be comfortable working with children ranging from infants-5 years old, but will primarily be with infants. If you love little children and want to help them learn and grow, this is a great job for you. We have great families and a wonderful staff to work with. Hourly pay rate is based on education and experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred.
• Lead qualified for early childhood in the state of Wisconsin
• Infant/Toddler qualified for the state of Wisconsin
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• Registry Level of 12 or higher preferred.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
