Summary
The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging lessons and activities based on an approved curriculum that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This role fosters a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment while maintaining a safe, healthy, and organized learning space. The Lead Teacher also guides classroom routines, models positive interactions, and works collaboratively with staff and families to support each child’s growth and development.
Duties
- Create a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and organized classroom in accordance with state licensing regulations.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Observe and assess children's development and communicate progress with parents and administration.
- Foster children's social and emotional development by modeling positive interactions and guiding appropriate behavior.
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and developmental documentation.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding their child's development, activities, and classroom updates.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure a supportive and effective classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies, procedures, and state childcare licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Four Year Degree and T4 Certification

- Master's Degree and T5 Certification
