Summary
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and qualified Early Childhood Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the social, emotional, and academic growth of young learners through play-based, developmentally appropriate experiences within an inclusive classroom environment.
Duties
- Plan and implement a play-based, discovery-oriented curriculum for preschool-aged children.
- Support social-emotional development in a respectful, compassionate setting aligned with the Center’s mission.
- Create a safe, engaging classroom environment that reflects the developmental needs of each child.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and share insights with families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the overall learning experience.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families and community partners.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practice.
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- CDA, Associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Experience with diverse learners.
- First aid/CPR certification.
