Bike Shop Management experience preferred. Riders and enthusiasts preferred. Open to all ages and levels of experience.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Interact with customers and provide exceptional customer service; educate customers about bicycles, bicycle accessories and clothing, and any other cycling-related products or services in the store.
- Responsible for driving the sales, energy and productivity of the store.
- Manage inventory processes including ordering, receiving and cycle counting.
- Organize and merchandise product cleanly and creatively.
- Train, mentor, and coach Sales Associates.
- Educate all staff regarding company policies, programs, and standards.
- Monitor productivity and performance of all staff.
- Demonstrate a commitment to your staff, your peers, your supervisors and the mission and values.
- Dedication to completing assignments and projects to meet the high standards of quality.
- Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties.
- Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
- Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members.
- Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation.
- Other duties as needed/ assigned.
Requirements
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- 2+ years of bicycle retail management experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business management related field a plus.
- High level of organizational ability; exceptional written and spoken communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be passionate about bicycles and promoting the benefits of a cycling lifestyle and culture.
- Enthusiastically embraces the concept of serving the customer and providing an exceptional retail experience.
- Is capable of safely lifting and carrying 25lbs on a regular basis.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
- Is intrinsically self motivated, positive, and friendly; able to work both independently and as a member of a team; and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
