The Champions Center is hiring a Preschool Program Administrator to work under the direction of our Executive Director. The Champions Center for Special Children is an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides specialized daily care, early education and critical therapies for children (ages 6 weeks to 5 years) who live with disabilities, special needs or developmental delays. This role will serve as the childcare director for the children and families served by our program, with supervision from the Executive Director, and in accordance to DSS and ABC Quality policies. The Preschool Program Administrator will provide direct supervision to Champion Center Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Substitutes and Volunteers.

Duties include but are not limited to:
The Preschool Program Administrator will possess at least one of the following:
A college or university degree in early childhood education, child development, child psychology
or a related field that includes at least 18 credit hours in child development and/or early
childhood education;
• A bachelor’s degree from a college or university in any subject area and six months experience
working with children in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility;
• An associate’s degree from a college or university in early childhood education, child
development and/or child psychology or a related field that includes at least 18 credit hours in
child development and/or early childhood education with six months work experience in a
licensed approved or registered child care facility;
• The director shall not have been determined to have committed an act of child abuse or neglect
or have been convicted of any crime listed in Chapter 3 of Title 16, Offenses Against the Person;
any crime listed in Chapter 15 of Title 16, Offenses Against Morality and Decency or for the
Crime of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor in Section 16-17-490.
• A check of the S.C. Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect shall be requested
• Shall first undergo a state fingerprint review from SLED.
Experience in Human Resources above and beyond requirements listed
