Infant Teacher

Summary

Acorn Academy LLC in Madison, NJ is looking for an energetic individual to work in our infant classrooms. We strive to maintain a family like feel to the environment, provide opportunities for family involvement, celebrate the diversity within the community and support staff in their continued education.

Acorn Academy LLC is open 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday, January-December. The full-time position is 9:00am-5:30pm.

Duties

Some expectations include but not limited to:

• lead the classroom instruction based on the Creative Curriculum,
• write weekly lesson plans...
• maintain a safe and organized classroom,
• manage the classroom with positive discipline
• communicate well with co-workers/parents/administrative staff
• take required annual training
• supervise supportive staff members

Requirements

All interested individuals need to have:

• a minimum of two years experience in early childhood education
• an associates degree in a related field and/or be working on their CDA/Associates degree/Bachelor degree.
• fluent in English and some knowledge of a second language
