The Substitute Teacher at Lakeside Learning Center provides classroom coverage as needed to ensure continuity of care and learning. This position supports daily routines, supervises children at all times, and assists with implementing planned activities in a safe, nurturing environment.
Substitutes must be flexible, dependable, and able to adapt quickly to different age groups and classroom settings while following all licensing regulations and center policies. The role requires professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a positive, structured learning environment for children.
Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
Follow daily schedules and classroom routines
Assist with or implement lesson plans and activities as directed
Support children with meals, diapering/toileting, and sanitation procedures
Provide positive guidance and model respectful interactions
Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment
Communicate effectively with staff and leadership
Follow all Oklahoma DHS licensing regulations and center policies
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Childcare experience preferred
Ability to work with various age groups
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Willing to complete required background checks and training
