Infant Assistant Teachers

Summary

Millie's House is a small family-owned daycare and preschool in Towaco, NJ. Our mission is to foster a loving, nurturing, and educational environment for our children. We care for children, aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.

 

The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and committed to helping infants reach their full potential, both academically and socially. The candidate is organized, patient, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. The applicant is responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate activities, feeding, changing diapers, keeping a clean and organized workspace. If you love infants, we need you!

 

Duties

• Comply with all state licensing, fire, health and safety regulations
• Plan and implement all aspects of The Experience Curriculum.
• Communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively with families and staff members
• Create and maintain transition folders for students.
• Create and maintain up to date assessments for students
• Pass criminal and child abuse background checks
• Pass physical and tb (Mantoux) test
• Complete all training, as assigned
• Comply with policies and procedures of organization, including punctual and reliable

Requirements

• Experience in a childcare setting (1 year)
• Adult, child and infant CPR, AED and first aid Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• College credits in related field. (Preferred)
