Duties

• Support the lead teacher in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum
• Assist in planning and executing age-appropriate learning activities
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Supervise children during instructional and non-instructional times
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Support children’s social-emotional and academic development

Requirements

Must meet Georgia DECAL’s minimum qualifications for Assistant Teachers:

• High school diploma or GED and a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or a Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education

At least 1 year of experience working with young children preferred

Must pass background check and meet all licensing requirements

Employees are required to stand (six to eight hours daily), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, etc. while working with children.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds

Must be able to visually supervise children at all times.

Positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork skills are a must!
