Duties

Instruction & Classroom Culture

  • Curriculum Execution: Implement daily lesson plans with fidelity, collaborating with a co-teacher to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience.
  • Positive Guidance: Foster a safe, inclusive environment using proactive classroom management and "positive-first" behavioral strategies.

Child Care & Safety

  • Health & Hygiene: Oversee personal care routines, including handwashing, toileting/diapering, and maintaining a sanitized, secure classroom environment.
  • Student Supervision: Ensure the constant safety and well-being of all children in strict accordance with state regulations and center policies.

Communication & Documentation

  • Parent Partnership: Provide daily updates on child milestones, meals, and rest; lead formal progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Detailed Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, real-time attendance and digital reports to ensure licensing compliance.

Professionalism & Compliance

  • Regulatory Excellence: Maintain up-to-date certifications (CPR/First Aid, SIDS) and clear background checks.
  • Confidentiality: Handle all sensitive student, family, and personnel information with the utmost discretion.

Continuous Improvement

  • Professional Growth: Participate in staff meetings and in-service training to stay current on early childhood best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of licensed child care experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Dependable transportation
