Lead Teachers

Joyful Hearts Learning Center is hiring Full-time Teachers for our growing center; Degreed preferred.

Do you have a passion for working with children and creating a warm, loving and inviting environment? We would love to meet you and share more about our amazing child care center.

• Teach and care for all age groups, 6 weeks – 5 years
• Need to be Wisconsin DCF Lead Teacher qualified
• Schedule: 30-35 hours per week
• Salary: $17-$19 per hour, depending on experience

We will also looking for a Lead Teacher to work in our Infant Room – Date TBD.

Duties

• Create a warm and inviting environment for children while prioritizing child safety
• Create lesson plans that focus on play-based learning
• Develop independent goals for each child
• Collaborate with other staff members
• Develop relationships with families through ongoing communication

Requirements

• Team player 
• Desire to learn and grow
• Calm, patient, and nurturing
• Play and engage with children for extended periods of time
• Age 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent 
• Completed required coursework for a lead teacher in a child care center and be willing to engage in ongoing education.

Nice To Haves

The ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience teaching in a child care setting.
