Kitchen Aide

Summary

The Kitchen Aide provides a variety of food preparation, service, maintenance and sanitation services, as well as assists cook daily. This position provides welcoming customer service to all children, parents, guests and fellow employees.

Duties

• Wrap food to protect and deliver lunch carts.
• Clear and clean breakfast and lunch carts.
• Provides dishwashing services from breakfast and lunch.
• Clean and restock shelves with clean dishes, platters, bowls, etc.
• Clean dishwasher, counters, rinse sinks and sweep floors.
• Prepare set up for next day's meals.
• Is aware of all special food substitutions for classrooms.
• Assists cook with food allergies and milk alternates.
• Assists with food storage and pantry.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous food service experience
• Demonstrated attention to detail is required
• Solid communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to relate well with people of diverse groups
• Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the WLCDC mission

Women's League Child Development Center, Hartford

Join a staff of professional Early Childhood Educators at the NAEYC-accredited Women's League Child Development Center. We have provided a high-quality program to Hartford's children and families for 104 years. Our beautiful facility in Hartford's Clay Arsenal neighborhood has 8 School Readiness Preschool classrooms, 8 Toddler Rooms and 1 Infant Room.

Women's League is currently looking for 3 Lead Teachers and 5 Assistant Teachers.

Lead Teachers-Preschool/Toddler:

Full-time positions, 35+hours per week, with generous benefits. Lead a teaching team, guide assistant teachers with observations, assessments, curriculum planning, building strong relationships with children and families. Kind nurturing leader that is committed in making an impact in a team environment.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in ECE, 2 +years classroom teaching experience. Familiarity with CTELDS and DOTS. Salary is commensurate with educational level and classroom experience in leading a teaching team.

Assistant Teachers-Preschool/Toddler:

Full-time positions, 35+ hours per week, with generous benefits. Be part of a classroom teaching team, sharing in observation, assessment, curriculum planning and commitment in making an impact in a child's life.

Requirements: Associate Degree in ECE, OR 30 ECE credits+ 2 years teaching experience. Familiarity with CTELDS and DOTS is a plus. Salary is commensurate with educational level and experience.

Part time positions, 15-20 hours per week. Be part of a classroom teaching team, assist teachers in preparing classroom materials, support children with transitions and build everlasting relationships with children.

Requirements- 18 years old Highschool Diploma/GED or some ECE credits. Experience working with children, kind, reliable and punctual willing to work in a team.
