Learning Tree is seeking enthusiastic individuals to support the emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of children 6 weeks to 12 months old.

Duties

The infant teachers are responsible for children six weeks to twelve months of age. 

Duties include:

• offering a loving, nurturing, and caring atmosphere
• to ensure an infant's safety and well-being while under your care
• meeting the needs of each child (change diapers, feed bottles, food, etc.)
• follow Wisconsin licensing rules
• Plan, prepare, and implement a variety of infant/toddler learning activities for children
• being able to communicate daily with parents
• sign children in and out of room
• cleaning and sanitizing room and toys
• attend monthly staff meetings

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a relevant field, or in the process of obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant field.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Infant and Toddler Certification or willing to complete certification requirements within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred Wisconsin Registry Certification Level Seven or higher, or ability to obtain upon placement
• CPR and First Aid Certified, or be willing to obtain
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
• Effective communication skills with families, team members, and directors
• Excellent organization skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to lift and hold students
• Ability to stand, sit, walk on various surfaces inside and outside.
