Toddler Educator – 2-Year-Old Classroom
Little Feathers Learning Center is seeking a nurturing, energetic, and passionate educator to join our toddler team. Our 2-year-old classroom focuses on supporting independence, emotional development, early communication, and safe exploration through play-based learning.
The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and deeply committed to creating a warm, secure environment where children feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. This role includes guiding daily routines, supporting social-emotional development, introducing early learning concepts, and partnering with families to provide consistent, loving care.

Duties
Duties & Responsibilities – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based activities that encourage language development, social skills, and early learning
- Support daily routines including meals, rest, diapering, toileting, and transitions with patience and positive guidance
- Partner with families to encourage developmentally appropriate potty learning, following each child’s readiness and center policies
- Foster independence, confidence, and emotional regulation through gentle guidance and modeling
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and communication with families through Kangarootime (updates, photos, notes)
- Observe and assess children’s development and share progress with leadership and families as needed
- Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
- Collaborate respectfully with team members to support a positive, cohesive classroom culture
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA preferred)
- Must meet all Nevada licensing and background check requirements
- Previous experience working with toddlers (1–3 years) in a licensed childcare or early learning environment preferred
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers, including social-emotional development and early independence
- Ability to provide consistent, positive guidance and create a calm, nurturing classroom environment
- Comfortable supporting potty learning in a developmentally appropriate way in partnership with families
- Effective communication skills and ability to build respectful, professional relationships with families and team members
- Physically able to meet the demands of working with young children (lifting, bending, active engagement)
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
