Summary

A Child's Garden is seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher & Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide nurturing care and engaging educational experiences for infants and toddlers, ensuring a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. As a floater, you will also support various classrooms as needed, bringing flexibility and enthusiasm to our dynamic team. Both positions are full time, working 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday.

Duties


Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, compassionate care to infants and toddlers, supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and age-appropriate activities
  • Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and learning through play
  • Support classroom management by maintaining organized spaces and encouraging positive behavior
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to implement curriculum plans aligned with childhood development standards
  • Float between classrooms as needed, providing consistent care and support across different age groups
  • Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Able to sit, bend and lift up to 40lbs.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in daycare or preschool settings
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to handle caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and supervising active children
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families

Requirements

At least 1 year experience working in a daycare center with Infant/Toddlers.
