Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? Huguenot UMC Preschool is looking for a patient and compassionate childcare teacher who has experience working with children ages 0-5 years old. This teacher will help with implementing developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students.

Responsibilities include:
Working with Co-Teacher to set and follow daily routine
Interacting with children through conversation, reading, singing and playing
Creating monthly lesson plans
Communicating with parents regularly related to classroom accomplishments and children's progress
Writing bi-annual progress reports
Requirements are 12 credits in college level early childhood education training or a CDA, along with experience working with infants, patience, creativity, and a love of children. A background check is required. School hours are 8:00-5:30. Schedule varies from year to year based on enrollment and your availability.
Associates degree or bachelor's degree a plus. Teacher's license is a plus
