Are you passionate about cooking nutritious meals for children and maintaining the highest kitchen standards? Our large childcare center is seeking a dependable, experienced Daycare Cook to join our team!
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM — no evenings or weekends!
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily
Create and implement rotating seasonal menus that meet USDA and DSS guidelines
Maintain accurate food counts and meal documentation
Ensure full compliance with DSS and DHEC standards
Maintain a clean, organized, complaint-ready kitchen at all times
Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed
Follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures
Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions
Experience cooking in a childcare, school, or commercial kitchen setting preferred
Knowledge of DSS and DHEC regulations strongly preferred
18 years of age (or older)
High School Diploma
Must be able to pass a background check
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Food safety certification preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Consistent daytime schedule (7 AM – 3 PM)
No nights or weekends
