Summary

Nellie's Treehouse has expanded!! We have a new center in Milford and are looking to hire qualified lead teachers/assistant director applicants. This individual would teach in the classroom and serve as assistant director as well. This new program is licensed for 44 children and the ability to expand for another 16-18 students. With a large playground and cozy classrooms this could be the opportunity you are looking for!!!

Duties

Engage and create bonds with families and children

Plan and implement a curriculum for a class of 3–5-year-olds that is developmentally appropriate

Ensure a nurturing and stimulation educational environment for children

Manage classroom behaviors utilizing logical consequences

Create an environment that offers consistency and structure

Create monthly newsletter

Parent and community relations

Overseeing teachers and classrooms

Administrative support

Requirements

Must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in ECE or related field

Complete 18 hours of Professional Development a year

Complete CPR and First Aid certification

Understanding of NH Licensing Rules

Able to lift and carry 40 lbs

Good communication skills

Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

Able to pass fingerprint and background check for State of NH and FBI

About Us

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
