Summary
Location: To Be Determined in Madison Area (assigned based on child and programming needs)
Pay: $16.21-18.91/hour (based on education) + $1.00/hour bonus for current CNA license
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Full Year

Duties
- Assisting and partnering with teachers in planning and implementing daily activities for children with medical needs
- Supporting classroom implementation of daily activities and curriculum when not assigned to specific medical needs
- Participating in lesson planning and carrying out supervisor-assigned tasks to reinforce safe instruction
- Supporting assigned children with medical needs in both large group and individual settings
- Ensuring assigned children's medical and classroom needs are met safely and appropriately
- Assisting teachers in providing creative, pleasant, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Providing positive guidance and ensuring overall safety for assigned children
- Attending job-related meetings, trainings, and individual mentoring sessions
- Transporting children safely when needed (including bus rides)
- Working flexibly across EHS and HS locations based on program needs
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Training: Completion of Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent ECE course) required OR must complete within 6 months
- Certifications:
- CNA certification preferred (includes $1.00/hour bonus)
- Pediatric CPR within 6 months of employment
- Basic first aid knowledge
- Experience:
- Working with people with disabilities and medical needs
- Working with children ages 0-5
- Experience with low-income, multicultural families
- Professional Competencies: Cultural sensitivity, flexibility for varying schedules and locations, excellent communication skills
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong desired
- Additional: Willingness to ride bus with assigned children as needed

About Us
Reach Dane provides high-quality early childhood services to over 1,000 underserved children ages 0-5 in Dane County through center based and home visitation programs. Our staff work tirelessly every day to reach the most vulnerable children and families in our community, and the need for our services is growing. The number of infants and toddlers experiencing homelessness enrolled in our programs has tripled over the last four years. Last year, Reach Dane served more homeless children than any other Head Start program in Wisconsin.
