Summary
The Overnight Care Daycare Teacher provides safe, nurturing supervision for children during overnight hours. This role supports bedtime routines, ensures a calm sleep environment, monitors children’s health and safety, and maintains accurate overnight documentation while following all licensing and center policies.
Duties
- Supervise children safely during overnight hours
- Assist with bedtime routines and nighttime comfort
- Maintain a calm, clean, and secure sleep environment
- Perform diapering/toileting and hygiene as needed
- Monitor health and report concerns or incidents
- Complete overnight logs and communicate updates to staff/parents
- Follow all licensing, safety, and center policies
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in childcare or overnight care preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Current CDA or ability to obtain within 4 months
- Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive during overnight shifts
- Knowledge of child safety, hygiene, and sleep routines
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
