The Substitute will be responsible for assisting with supervision of children, including implementation of lesson plans and activities that meet children’s needs, encourage enjoyment, and interest in learning, and facilitate the development of self-regulation, social skills, and self-esteem either as a 1:1 aide, 3rd Teacher or substitute for regular teaching staff.

Must be physically able to perform the job of teacher of young children including running short distances and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must have a warm, supportive attitude toward children. Must be reliable. Must be flexible with scheduling, receiving assignments, and adapting to changes in the program. Must be willing to accept directions to improve work performance and maintain best practices within the classroom. Must maintain a positive presence as a role model for staff/families/children.
Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma/GED. CDA or Associates in Early Childhood preferred
· 1 year FTE experience working with young children
· Ability to complete reports as assigned, willingness to adopt center systems for recordkeeping
