Preschool Teacher's Aide (P/T)

Summary

Makawao Hongwanji Preschool is seeking a part-time teacher's aide for 3-5 year old's Mon.-Fri. We have been in operation since 1984. We are committed to providing a positive, safe and loving environment that encourages children's intellectual, physical, social and emotional development to their fullest potential. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, energetic, positive, creative, has good communication skills and has a passion for working with children ages 3-5.

Duties

Duties include but not limited to:

• Assist the teacher with classroom management
• Participate in circle time activities
• Supervise and ensure the safety of all children in and outdoors at all times
• Set up and clean up daily activities
• Assist in keeping the classroom organized and sanitized
• Able to organize, run, and play outdoor games with the children

Requirements

Experience working in a preschool setting or interested in going into the Early Childhood Education Field is a definite plus.

Must meet the Hawaii State DHS Licensing requirements: Medical, TB and Criminal History Clearance
