Summary

Position Summary:

MCK Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Enrolled Agent (EA) to join our tax team in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping in preparation of federal and state payroll tax,and providing strategic tax planning. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EA looking to grow their career in a supportive and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :Tax Preparation & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely individual and company tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Review payroll and other tax data and financials for completeness and accuracy

Relationship Management

  • Communicate clearly with team regarding tax positions, deadlines, and requirements
  • Build and maintain strong, professional team relationships
  • Respond to team inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner

Research & Professional Development

  • Conduct detailed tax research to ensure accurate interpretation of tax laws
  • Stay current on changes in tax legislation and best practices
  • Attend training and continuing education to maintain EA credentials

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other tax professionals and staff
  • Mentor and assist junior team members when needed
  • Contribute to process improvement and quality-control initiatives

Qualifications:Required

  • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
  • Minimum 1-2 years of tax preparation and IRS representation experience
  • Strong knowledge of individual and business payroll and taxation
  • Excellent tax research and analytical skills
  • Professional communication and client service skills
  • Proficiency or familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., Quickbooks, Sage)

Preferred

  • Experience in public accounting, and tax firm setting
  • Familiarity with state and local tax compliance
  • Advanced tax planning experience
