After School Supervisor

Summary

Good Shepherd Montessori School is seeking a caring, responsible, and confident Aftercare Supervisor to lead our afternoon program in a calm, nurturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values structure and consistency, and can create a warm sense of community at the end of the school day.

Duties

• Supervise and support children during after-school hours
• 
  
• Maintain a calm, safe, and welcoming environment
• 
  
• Lead age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, and quiet work time
• 
  
• Communicate clearly and kindly with children, families, and staff
• 
  
• Model respectful behavior and positive guidance
• 
  
• Ensure all licensing, safety, and school policies are followed
• 
  

Requirements

• Experience working with children (school, childcare, or similar setting)
• 
  
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• 
  
• Warm, patient, and dependable demeanor
• 
  
• Ability to guide children with consistency and care
• 
  
• Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
• 
  
• Must meet all Washington State DCYF licensing requirements, including:
• 
  
• Active MERIT account
• 
  
• Completion of required STARS training hours
• 
  
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• 
  

Cleared DCYF background check and ongoing compliance
