PreK Lead Teacher

Summary

We are in need of a lead teacher for our PreK-2 class. The teacher will help prepare students for Kindergarten by creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans. He/She will need to supervise children while also leading small groups and learning activities with the help of their assistant teacher.

Duties

• Create and implement lesson plans
• Stay on the classroom schedule
• Communicate with parents
• Keep classroom clean and organized
• Engage with children at all times
• Create a safe and healthy learning environment

Requirements

• Able to work Monday-Friday on an alternating schedule of an eight hour shift between 6:30-5:30
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug test
• A heart for teaching and making a difference in children's lives.
• Flexible.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Have or working towards a CDA or above
• Familiarity with ProCare
• An understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
