We’re growing! Pumpkin Patch is a lively yet cozy family-owned childcare center in Cromwell, offering high-quality, play-based care for infants through preschoolers. We also run summer camp and before- and after-school programs for school-aged kids. Our Closer steps in at the end of the day to relieve the Lead Teacher, supervising from 4 or 10 children and tidying the classroom for the night. Childcare tasks include signing children out via our ProCare app, engaging and enriching them, and completing any activities left by the Lead Teacher, like finishing an art project. Cleaning duties may involve sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and wiping down countertops.
Actively participate in activities while keeping the classroom clean and organized. Perform end-of-night tasks like cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and taking out the trash. Stay in regular contact with parents through casual conversations and progress reports. Adhere to all center policies and state regulations. Keep up with a personal professional development plan to ensure ongoing quality improvement.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have reliable transportation.
This position is also available to high school students who want to get their foot in the door working with children.
