Stem Teacher

Summary

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Part-Time STEAM Teacher to join our childcare center. This role is perfect for an educator who is passionate about introducing young children to the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through hands-on, play-based learning.

The STEAM Teacher will design and lead engaging activities that spark curiosity, foster problem-solving skills, and encourage exploration for children. Candidates should be energetic, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to meet children at various developmental levels.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate STEAM lessons for children ages 1–5
• Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on exploration
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of varying developmental levels
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate STEAM learning into the broader curriculum
• Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding children’s learning experiences

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in an educational setting (childcare or early childhood preferred)
• Passion for STEAM education and fostering curiosity in early learners
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt activities to suit a range of developmental needs
• CDA, Associate’s, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
