At The Hmong Intergenerational Childcare Center, we offer a culturally and linguistically responsive experience through hands-on learning. Children and elders will learn together in our intergenerational program. Our center offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum that prepares children to be school ready while involving parents and families in their child’s education. We are looking for a director who is bilingual and bicultural in Hmong.
● Ensure the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care
● Accountable for overall operational management
● Ensure that the needs of the children and the goals of the center are met
● Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with the vision and with state requirements
● Implement educational curriculum; collaborate with staff to develop positive learning activities
● Recruit, hire, and maintain a qualified staff
● Support staff and provide coaching/training as needed
● Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students
● Use marketing strategies to promote the program to prospective families
● Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies; ensure legal and financial compliance
● Implement strategic plans and goals in keeping with the mission of the program
● Bilingual and bicultural in Hmong
● Meet DCF training and experience requirements for Center Director for 50 children or fewer
● High energy and positive attitude
● Strong oral and written communications skills; technology skills
● Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
● Must pass a full background check
