Kauai Montessori Project is seeking a nurturing, calm, and observant Infant Specialist with a passion for Montessori philosophy to join our early childhood team. In our program the Infant Specialist plays a vital role in supporting each child's natural development through respectful caregiving, intentional environment design, and individualized attention. This position serves infants age 6 weeks through two years of age in a peaceful prepared environment aligned with the Montessori principals.
High school diploma or GED required; Infant/Toddler Montessori certification or willingness to obtain is highly preferred.
At least 1-2 years experience working with infants in an early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of infant development.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Gentle, respectful communication style with both children and adults.
Ability to lift and carry infants, and engage in purposeful, floor-level activities.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
Montessori certification or training from an accredited program.
Experience in a Montessori school or center.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
